In India, about a hundred people died from counterfeit alcohol

In the North of India 97 people died from drinking counterfeit alcohol.

Police learned that on February 7 residents of several villages in the district of Haridwar gathered for the funeral of a relative. Alcohol drinking dozens of people.

Within three days after the memorial 97 people died of acute poisoning. Several dozen people are in hospital in serious condition.

Police in India have opened a criminal case. Detained 200 people. More than 10 thousand litres of counterfeit alcohol were seized.
