In India women have formed a 620-km-long chain, demanding gender equality

More than 5 million women lined up in a 620-km-long human chain in support of gender equality.

Recall that in September last year, the government lifted the ban on women to attend the local temple Sabarimala. Despite the verdict of the Supreme Court, men continue to observe the old tradition. No woman was unable to enter the temple, as the pilgrims pelted them with stones and sticks.

So, millions of women from different parts of the state participated in the campaign to stop discrimination.
